Cardinal Nsubuga Secondary School is a center of academic excellence and character development located in kitakyusa village, kayabwe Parish, Mpigi District. Established in 1986, the school has grown into one of the leading institutions in the country, known for its commitment to quality education, discipline, and holistic development.

Our Journey

39 Years of Excellence

Cardinal Nsubuga Secondary School was founded on 14th July 1986 by the Catholic Church of the Archdiocese of Kampala. Initially housed at Uganda Martyrs Primary School-Kitakyusa, the school was transferred to its present site on land generously donated by Mr. Ssebowa Martin. Under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Ssemanda Sylvester, the community rallied together to build the first classroom blocks. With Mr. Kiwanuka recruiting dedicated teachers and Captain Gerald Magera Muyomba providing essential support, the school has grown from humble beginnings to become a beacon of academic excellence and character development.

School Founded

Established by the Catholic Church of the Archdiocese of Kampala with community support and vision for quality education.

1995

First Science Laboratory Opened

Enhanced practical learning with the establishment of our first fully-equipped science laboratory for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

2005

Computer Lab Establishment

Embraced technology in education with the launch of our first computer laboratory, introducing students to the digital world.

2012

National Top Performance Recognition

Received national recognition for outstanding academic performance and exemplary student achievement in national examinations.

2018

Modern Library Complex Opened

Inaugurated a state-of-the-art library facility with over 10,000 books and digital resources to enhance research and learning.

2020

Digital Learning Center Launch

Pioneered digital education with the launch of our comprehensive digital learning center, preparing students for the future.
